This is an exhibition of paintings by Stacy Dunn that asks, “What do you see when you look at the world?" Her work explores how different shades, sheens, and configurations of color affect the eye. Whether this is through optical illusions, multi-canvas pieces, or manipulating pigmentation, she is endlessly wondering what people see and what they don't.

Each distinct series challenges the viewer in a new way, asking: "Are you looking at what is in front of you or are you seeing what is behind you? Are you seeing everything at the face value of your first glance? Do you know if the person next to you exists in the same space?

Featured Series:  20/20  The Dreamery   Lines & Edges   Swimming In Color    Convergence

Dunn's first solo exhibition was made possible by York City Department of Cultural Affairs & the New York Foundation of the Arts.
